It takes time to BLOG. Between work and family there is never enough time. Yet I will try ..only on topics that really matter to me.
If we had known what was comming back then at the start in Jan/ Feb 2020, a consequent worldwide shut down of 4-6 weeks would have dried up this virus and would have ended the crises before it could really begin. Easy to say in retrospect.
As it is now, only collective responsibility and discipline of all humans worldwide could end the pandemic.
Responsible and disciplined behavoiur of all people? No lapses? Is that possible?
Alternatively free vaccination to all people worldwide?
Both scenarios seem out of reach.
But never fear, this way or that, all pandemics are destined to end sometime.
Guys, what`s with the beards? Once a friend told, everytime he sees one he hears this voice in his head "beard", aparently like in some Simpsons episode. Now when I see one, I am thinkin "Taliban"... and I really hope you are not growing your beards in sympathy with those guys. Although I may risk being out of fashion, I will adhere to a clean shave.
To ease the refugee crisis, I believe Europe should lease land in neighbour-states of war territories (like Syria) and build safe-havens for refugees. Europe should provide food, homes, infrastructure, medical, security and schooling, i.e. create refugee cities meeting all humanitarian standards. In the knowledge that their families and children are safe, enough fathers and sons will no longer feel the need to flee further, but will want to reconquer their homes and appease their home-country. Europe should support them in their effort.
